Mookaite Buddha Carving

Mookaite is an unofficial name for a specific form of silicified Porcellanite. In strict geological terms, this material is actually a type of Radiolarite found in the Windalia Radiolarite rock formations in Western Australia. Mookaite is used for making colourful, finely-polished ornamental stones that come in a wide range of colours: white, cream, yellow, brown, red, maroon, and purple.

Mookaite is thought of as a protective stone that will shield one from danger yet encourage adventure. Wearing the stone is said to be very beneficial for protection while placing it under one's pillow encourages continuous healing.
